About the office

The office of the Controller General of Communication Accounts works under the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, Government of India. It performs general accounts, receipt and payment accounting, pension administration and licence fee accounting for the telecommunications network, and establishes and manages 27 field offices across the country.

The central purpose of CGCA is to safeguard the interests of pensioners, telecom licensees and the general public in the administration of communication accounts.
